Dr. Chen then completed an additional 3-year prosthodontics specialty residency program at the University of Illinois in Chicago to further her training in complex cosmetic, restorative, and surgical implant dentistry. Dr. Chen is an internationally certified prosthodontist in the U.S. and Canada.

Born and raised in New Hampshire with her parents and sister, Dr. Chen initially decided to major in engineering at MIT. After realizing that she wanted to help people and work more with her hands, she changed her major to Brain and Cognitive Science and went on to receive her doctorate degree from Harvard.
Following graduation, Dr. Chen worked in private practice and as a faculty member at the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. While there, she shared her expertise with dental students while continuing to treat patients.
During her residency in Chicago, Dr. Chen met her husband, Albert Park, DDS. They moved to the Dallas area to be closer to family. Shortly after, they decided to start a family of their own, and Dr. Chen is now the proud mom of a toddler.
