Doctor's Corner
Now that it is September, life is settling down. All the kids are in college and on the home front, my wife and I are officially “empty nesters”. At the office, we are interviewing for the perfect hygienist (periodontal therapist) to replace Annilee and Sejal. They will be hard to replace but they are doing a wonderful job of interviewing. For you that have not met Gayle Pettigrew, she has been helping us with remodeling the office and doing paper work while Brenna has been away attending to her brother Truman. Truman has been recovering from his accident at Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth. He is recovering nicely and only has a few more surgeries to go.
July and August were big months for us “in the news” as Texas Monthly elected me to their “Super Dentist” annual list for the state of Texas for the third year in a row. “D-Magazine” also included us in their August edition of the “Best of Dallas”. Today is my 54th birthday as I write this, my wife and I are headed to Austin to see the Texas vs. Ohio State game. I’m very excited; it should be a great game. I have been practicing in Plano, TX for 20 years now and I appreciate my patients so much for making it a great 20 years. If I can ever treat your friends or relatives, I would consider it an honor. Thank you for your support.
HYGIENE NEWS
We are proud to introduce the new Sonicare Elite e9500 in our office. This system is similar to the e7800 that we currently have in our office. You can now tailor your brushing experience to your personal oral care needs. With 2 brush head sizes and 2 speeds (Max and Gentle) you can achieve optimal results. The brush head design is one normal head and a smaller head for those hard to reach areas. Clinical research entails that the Sonicare Elite cleans and whitens teeth, removes plaque, and improves gum health, thus, reducing gingivitis. The sonic technology is a dynamic fluid action, like tiny, powerful waves. These new small heads are great for patient in orthodontics or patients with small mouths. We highly recommend this technology to our patients. Please ask either one of us, Sejal or Annilee, at your next appointment.
