Active Life, Active Bite!
Cliff is an active, 72-year-old, successful businessman. He desired a smile that reflected his lifestyle: healthy and strong. Cliff's front teeth were shorter than his back teeth causing him to have a reserve smile line. His teeth were also discolored and many were cracked. He wanted a low maintenance approach to a beautiful smile. After careful consultation, Cliff and Dr. Sowell decided on upper and lower porcelain veneers, with some minor gum reshaping, to correct his deep bite and minimize his maintenance. Cliff chose the shape, color, feel, symmetry and function of his future smile through temporaries.

A "Fortune 500" Smile
Greg, a "Fortune 500" executive, had his teeth damaged as a young man. His crowns, bridges and missing front tooth made him ashamed of his smile. Because of the career path he was on, Greg was often in the public spotlight through television interviews and a feature article in "USA Today". He was badly in need of a new smile. Dr. Sowell replaced Greg's old crowns and bridges with new ones, which had cosmetic design principles.

A Fan of Smiles!
Donna was not a fan of her smile. She had direct cosmetic bonding work done on her teeth years ago; some areas were so thin the underneath color was showing through. Donna also had asymmetrical excessive gum display. She was in need of a Plano cosmetic dentistry smile makeover. Dentist, Dr. Sowell opted to reshape Donna's gums and "Zoom" whiten her lower teeth. He then veneered her upper teeth, repositioning them into the center of her smile. Four years later, Donna is still the biggest fan of her beautiful, new smile.

From Fake to Flawless
Marsha was not excited about her smile. She had previous bridgework done to replace a missing tooth. The replaced fake tooth looked as if it was perched on top of her gums and not emerged out of her gums like a natural tooth. Basically her fake tooth looked fake. She needed Dr. Sowell's cosmetic dentistry assistance. So, he added gum to the foundation where the tooth was missing to provide Marsha with a more natural look. Dr. Sowell replaced her old artificial-looking crowns and bridge with natural-looking beautiful porcelain. The incised edges of her new porcelain, comprised of 10-12 subtle colors, followed her lower lip as she smiled. Cosmetic dentist, Dr. Sowell and his ceramist were able to custom design all-ceramic crowns and bridge, in an effort to provide Marsha with a natural, bright smile while maintaining a delicate, feminine appearance. Dr. Sowell also lightened her lower teeth to blend with her upper teeth with the "Zoom" teeth whitening method.

College Life Requires College Look
Josh is a college student at TCU. He was unhappy with his pointed appearance of his upper "V" shaped arch. He didn't favor his teeth spacing, irregular lengths and asymmetrical gum contours. Josh wanted to change his smile, so he sought Dr. Sowell’s help. Plano cosmetic dentist, Dr. Sowell decided to use porcelain veneers to change the shape of Josh's upper front six teeth; this was just enough to round out Josh's arch and provide him with a symmetrical, natural smile. Dr. Sowell made the special feldspathic porcelain transparent at the gum line in an effort to insure that, as Josh's gums recede with time, detection of where the tooth stops and the porcelain begins will be unnoticeable.
