Snore Management
As time goes on our bodies change and often we do not get enough oxygen when we sleep. It usually starts as snoring. This leads to sleepness nights for your spouse. Sometimes this leads to separte bedrooms so all can get some sleep. As time goes on this can lead to a lack of oxygen and the gasping for air (disruptive snoring sounds) and thus a lack of quality sleep. Then you become tired during the day which leads to a host of health problems. This is called sleep apnea. If you or your spouse have these symptoms you may consider a home sleep study in the comfort of your oun home. New technology will measure you breathing, oxygen levels, snoring levels, position you are sleeping in over time, disruptive brething episodes, etc.
Snoring can cause sleep apnea and be harmful to spouse relationships. As you get older, the soft tissue in your windpipe looses tone and your oxygen flow is decrease, resulting in snoring. This loss of oxygen can leave you feeling tired and unrested when you wake up. Additionally it can result in your spouse wanting to move out of your bedroom to sleep. A snore guard is an appliance that you wear at night to bring your jaw slightly forward when you sleep, opening your airway to decrease or eliminate your snoring. This results in more rest at night and a spouse who looks forward to sleeping with you. Ask for an evaluation by the Dallas dentist.
